ARM Retail Audits and Trade Census
Retail audits are studies of selected retail outlets and trade Census of all retail outlets by ARM interviewers for the purpose of collecting data about the brand health and product categories. Information gathered includes sales volume, stock levels (shelf and backstock), descriptions of in-store displays and promotional materials, competitor activity, planogram compliance (shelf location, number of facings present, number of SKUs present, missing/inaccurate shelf tags), pricing, in-store location of products and product damage.
How can we help you?
A retail audit/Census can help you evaluate the effectiveness of your overall retail execution strategy. They allow brands to accurately measure their success in the retail environment by providing a comprehensive and timely information on market shares, competitive sales volumes and insights into distribution, pricing, merchandising and promotion. Brands can also ensure that retailers are complying with brands agreements on product placement, pricing, and promotion. Armed with these information and insights, managers can make actionable decisions that reduce inefficiencies and ultimately drive sales.
However, the insights gained from retail audits/census are only as strong as the quality of the audits/census themselves.
